In our cohort of patients, we observed only a slight non-statistically significant upregulation of SLAMF3 on the cell surface of CD4+ T cells from patients with SLE compared to normal individuals whereas no differences were documented for CD8+, double negative T cells and B cells among SLE patients and controls (Fig 1C and S4A Fig). The gene discussed is LY9; the disease is systemic lupus erythematosus.
