Our results showed that pretreatment with 5b decreased the renal expression of proinflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in LPS-induced AKI, which suggested that the protection of 5b against LPS-induced AKI was associated with the downregulation of IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α levels. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is acute kidney injury.
