In a previous study, a strong positive rate of NQO1 protein expression in both SCCs (54.80%) and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CINs) (27.59% in CIN-1, 34.21% in CIN-2 and 40.74% in CIN-3) was significantly higher than in the normal cervix (4%). This evidence concerns the gene NQO1 and cervical intraepithelial neoplasia.
