A few previous GWASes have proved that the breast cancer susceptibility gene 2 (BRCA2; Also knows as: FAD; FACD; FAD1; GLM3; BRCC2; FANCD; PNCA2; FANCD1; XRCC11; BROVCA2, Gene ID: 675, HGNC ID: 1101, synonyms: “BRCA1/BRCA2-containing complex, subunit 2”, BRCC2, FAD, FAD1, XRCC11, locus type: gene with protein product, chromosomal location: 13q13.1) mutation can cause an increased risk for breast cancer [9]. The gene discussed is BRCA2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
