MTOR and head and neck cancer: Cisplatin has demonstrated radiosensitizing abilities of platinum-based compounds for the control of locoregional diseases in locally advanced head and neck cancers [3]; thus, we evaluated and compared the effects of the dual PI3K/mTOR inhibitor BEZ235, the pan-PI3K inhibitor BKM120, the mTORC1/mTORC2 inhibitor AZD2014, and Cisplatin with and without IR on SCC25, OML1-R, and primary OSCC cells.
