Altogether, these results suggest that not only HIV-1 gp120 clade B treated astrocytoma cells induced microglial migration, but also showed higher expression of key proliferative markers whereas, HIV-1 gp120 clade C showed a G0/G1 cell cycle arrest and lacked the induction of microglial migratory effect. Here, ITIH4 is linked to astrocytoma (excluding glioblastoma).
