Here, we showed that TEAD and E2F1 regulate the expression of genes involved not only in cell proliferation, such as BIRC5, but also of genes (e.g. GTSE1 and HMMR) involved in other aspects of cancer progression such as migration, invasion and metastasis, further highlighting the importance of E2F1 and TEAD cooperation in cancer. The gene discussed is GTSE1; the disease is cancer.
