While uPAR has been shown to be regulated by NFκB in various cancers [15, 38], this study is the first to demonstrate the involvement of NFκB in the regulation of uPAR expression by CFTR in human endometrial cells since NFκB inhibitors can reverse the CFTR overexpression-induced upregulation of uPAR.
