CRP and Increased total leukocyte count: When a multivariate Cox proportional hazard model was constructed (including age, duration of surgery, weight, length of stay, sex, CRP, PNI, platelet count, leukocytosis, anemia, lymphocyte counts, hypoalbuminemia and CRP/PNI ratio), the CRP/PNI ratio was the strongest independent predictor of survival (Table 3).
