Concordant with previous studies that have reported that the demethylating drug decitabine or Wnt inhibitor treatment reverses relapse-specific gene expression and restores chemosensitivity to significantly increase the treatment effects of ALL [41, 42], our data suggest that treatment with a miR-708 inhibitor and/or 5-aza might be a therapeutic strategy for adult B-ALL with DKK3 inactivation. This evidence concerns the gene DKK3 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
