However, we found that a reduction of LEFTY1 gene methylation in response to TGF-β1 did not occur in both OCCCa and endometrial carcinoma cells, which normally respond well to TGF-β1 stimulation, suggesting that epigenetic changes may be less important in the regulation of LEFTY1 expression in these cells.
