ROS1 rearrangement had previously been observed in the glioblastoma U118MG cell line by Charest A et al., who first found a microdeletion on 6q21 region responsible for the fusion of FIG, a gene coding for a Golgi apparatus‐associated protein to the kinase domain of the proto‐oncogene ROS1. The gene discussed is ROS1; the disease is glioblastoma.
