Patients with localized cutaneous lesion (LCL) exhibit predominant expression of iNOS, IL-1β, IL-6, MCP-1, TNF-α, and IFN-γ, while anergic diffuse cutaneous leishmaniasis (ADCL) lesions are characterized by the presence of IL-4, IL-5, IL-10, and MIP-1α and the low expression of iNOS (54, 55). The gene discussed is CCL2; the disease is autosomal dominant cutis laxa.
