In the univariate analysis, only the presence of a KRAS mutation in the polyp at baseline was associated with developing metachronous advanced polyps of any type (OR: 2.36, 95% CI: 1.22–4.58; P = 0.011 vs. non-mutated), and more specifically, advanced adenomas (OR: 2.42, 95% CI: 1.13–5.21; P = 0.023 vs. non-mutated) (Table 3). This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and adenoma.
