The expression of Notch1 mRNA in human gliomas is significantly higher than in normal brain tissue, and the level of Notch1 mRNA in III ∼ IV is significantly higher than that of grade I ∼ II, wihch indicates the expression levels of Notch1 is associated with not only pathological grade of gliomas, but also the degree of malignancy of gliomas [20]. This evidence concerns the gene NOTCH1 and central nervous system cancer.
