In this study we focused on (i) examining the apoptotic and autophagic response in lung cancer cells with acquired resistance to cisplatin (A549cisR), compared to parental cells (A549Pt), and (ii) exploring the capacity of chloroquine-induced LMP or specific autophagy blockade by ATG5 interference in restoring sensitivity to cisplatin. Here, ATG5 is linked to lung carcinoma.
