Exposure to high total drug concentration of pitolisant could account for the hypertension and tachycardia observed at the 4.5 mg·kg−1 i.v. dose as pitolisant had some activity at α2‐adrenoceptors with Ki values of 2.9, 4.3 and 1.2 μM for α2A, α2B and α2C‐adrenoceptors respectively. This evidence concerns the gene IGKV2D-29 and hypertensive disorder.
