Stage III was significantly different from Stage 0-I regarding multigravida, preterm premature rupture of membranes, antibiotic use before amniocentesis, number of caesarean sections, gestational age at amniocentesis, maternal inflammation (white blood cell [WBC] count, C-reactive protein [CRP] value), WBC count in the AF, funisitis of umbilical cord, extended days of hospital stay from admission to birth, neonatal inflammation (WBC count, CRP value, IgM level, funisitis of the umbilical cord), and antibiotic use for newborns (Table S2).
