Although many Cks1−/− and Cks2−/− mouse model phenotypes are due to altered p27 regulation, loss of Cks1 in Eμ-Myc transgenic mice (a model of human Burkitt's lymphoma) reduces cancer progression independent of p27 regulation [14], demonstrating a role for Cks1 beyond p27 regulation.
