We analyzed dataset from breast cancer tissues derived from patients treated with taxanes plus anthracyclines (GSE28844) [49] and found a significant increase of PTOV1 and CCNG2 mRNA levels in patients with lower Miller and Payne grade, corresponding to bad responders to that chemotherapy (Supplementary Figure 12), reinforcing the potential role of PTOV1 and CCNG2 in conferring resistance to chemotherapy with taxanes. This evidence concerns the gene CCNG2 and breast carcinoma.
