Serum anti-PLA2R-IgG levels in patients with IMN, IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, minimal change disease, and other nephropathy were all significantly higher compared to the levels in the healthy volunteers (p = 0.000, 0.000, 0.006, 0.000, and 0.007, respectively), while serum anti-PLA2R-IgG levels in patients with IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, minimal change disease, and other nephropathy were significantly lower compared to the levels in the patients with IMN (p = 0.000 for all comparisons). The gene discussed is PLA2R1; the disease is lupus nephritis.
