In our study, it is demonstrated that both DLP2 and DLP4 play a protective role against sepsis induced by MRSA ATCC43300 likely through down-regulating the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and up-regulating anti-inflammatory cytokines levels (Fig. 7), which is consistent with previous studies that blocking IL-6 and promoting IL-10 by ephedrine hydrochloride and micheliolide were reported to improve the survival of mice in sepsis51, 56.
