AGO1 and infection: Kushwaha et al. [40] have shown that ToLCNDV infection induces host-specific expression of genes involved in defense such as basal host defense responses including nucleotide-binding site and leucine-rich repeat (NBS-LRR) proteins, post-transcriptional gene silencing machinery (RNA-dependent RNA polymerase 6, RDR6; argonaute 1, AGO1; and suppressor of gene silencing 3, SGS3) and a lipid transfer protein (LTP).
