MMP2 and breast carcinoma: Chrysin at a concentration range of 5–50 μM has been shown to downregulate the expression of MMP-2 in glioblastoma (50 μM) [139], MMP-9 in gastric cancer (>20 μM) [140] and MMP-10 in MCF-7 breast cancer cell line (>5 μM) [141], thus inhibiting the degradation of ECM and the initiation of the epithelial-mesenchymal transition.
