In order to test that increased NRBP1 expression we observed in gout patients is regulated through methylation-dependent TFAP2A binding to NRBP1 promoter region, we evaluated the DNA methylation level of the CpG dinucleotide on B1 using PBMCs of gout patients (n = 15) and healthy controls (n = 17). This evidence concerns the gene TFAP2A and gout.
