Significant predictors of all-cause mortality at univariate analysis included admission SI, age, history of MI, prior PCI, prior peripheral arterial disease, LVEF, troponin-I on admission, three-vessel disease, intra-aortic balloon pump, TIMI flow grade 3 post PCI, and discharge prescription of beta-blockers and angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors/angiotensin receptor blockers (p < 0.05; Appendix S1, Table 2).
