In this study, alleles of the classical HLA genes (HLA-B*27:05, HLA-B*38:02 and HLA-DRB1*08:03) and SNPs located in nearby genes (rs2596487 and rs1811197 located upstream of the HLA-B gene and rs2228391 on the transporter associated with antigen processing (TAP) gene) were associated with susceptibility of a northern Chinese Han population to ATD-induced agranulocytosis. Here, HLA-B is linked to Absence of circulating granulocytes.
