Anti-SS-A(Ro) and anti-SS-B(La) autoantibodies are encountered in 50 to 70% of patients with primary Sjogren’s Syndrome (pSS) [1], 20–50% of patients with systemic lupus erythematosus SLE [2], and 5% of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) [2]. This evidence concerns the gene SSB and systemic lupus erythematosus.
