Studies of the molecular mechanisms of sulforaphane treatment on differentiation in the human chondrosarcoma cell line, HTB-94, demonstrated that SFN-induced enhanced expression of type II collagen, SOX-9 and phosphorylation of AKT, suggesting that SFN regulates differentiation of these cells via PI-3K/AKT [65]. Here, AKT1 is linked to chondrosarcoma.
