A patient with the rare immunodeficiency disorder dedicator of cytokinesis 8 deficiency (DOCK8 deficiency, or hyper IgE syndrome) excreted echovirus 13 in the first fecal sample, and another patient with the rare immunodeficiency disorder B cell expansion with NF-κB and T cell anergy (BENTA) disease excreted echovirus 5 in the first fecal sample. Here, NFKB1 is linked to combined immunodeficiency due to DOCK8 deficiency.
