Our results showed that FGFR1 was expressed at a low level in normal subcutaneous tissue surrounding hemangiomas, while the expression rate of FGFR1 was 48.08% (25/52) in infantile skin hemangioma tissues, of which 73.08% (19/26) in the proliferative phase and 23.08% (6/26) in the involuting phase, indicating that FGFR1 expression in infantile skin hemangioma tissues was significantly higher than that in normal subcutaneous tissue surrounding hemangioma and that FGFR1 expression was higher in the proliferative phase than in the involuting phase (Fig. 1C,D,G,H,K,L). This evidence concerns the gene FGFR1 and skin hemangioma.
