After adjusting for the metabolic risk factors in the multiple linear regression analysis, ISIMatsuda, female gender, age, hypertension, insulin treatments and serum UA (β = −0.23, 0.22, 0.13, 0.078, 0.062 and 0.059, respectively, p < 0.005, total partial R2 = 18.4%) were the major independent contributors to the increase in the QTc interval (Table 2), and the ISIMatsuda was the main independent contributor (standardized coefficient β = −0.23, t = −12.63, p < 0.001, partial R2 = 8.5%).
