Data from immunofluorescent staining with antibody against GFP showed that majority of VSMCs in the injured vessels were positive for GFP at either 2 (Figure IXA in the online-only Data Supplement) or 4 weeks post-infection (Figure IXB in the online-only Data Supplement), demonstrating that the genes (eg, GFP or hnRNPA1) have been successfully delivered into VSMCs in the injured arteries.
