Activating the NF-κB signaling pathway promotes proliferation, invasion and metastasis of cervical cancer cells, thus NF-κB pathwayinhibitors are being suggested as good anticancer agents in cervix carcinoma.11,12 However, based on allresults, it appears that inhibition of NF-κB activation may not be a safestrategy in the development of novel agents to treat cervical cancer.13,14. This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and cervical carcinoma.
