In summary, our present study showed that KIF7-CC but not KIF7-MD could modulate the LKB1/PTEN/AKT pathway, thereby suppressing PCa cell proliferation, colony formation, migration and invasion as well as sensitizing the cells to paclitaxel treatment in vitro and inhibiting prostate carcinogenesis in vivo. The gene discussed is KIF7; the disease is urogenital neoplasm.
