We further studied the invasion ability of glioma cells and performed matrigel transwell migration assays to demonstrate that knockdown of APOBEC3G decreased the number of cells that migrated to the other side of transwell by 50.8% in A172 cells (P < 0.01) (Figure 3C) and 49.1% in U343 cells (P < 0.01) (Figure 3D). This evidence concerns the gene APOBEC3G and glioma.
