IL23A and psoriasis: Azithromycin inhibited imiquimod-induced expression of costimulatory molecules (CD40 and CD80) and cytokines (TNF-α, IL-10, IL-12p40, IL-12p70, and IL-23p19) in bone marrow-derived DCs (BMDCs), and topical treatment with azithromycin attenuated the severity of imiquimod-induced skin inflammation in an animal model of psoriasis.
