In a severe model of endotoxemia (induced by 25 mg/kg LPS), TNF, IL-6, and IL-12p40 concentrations in blood and mortality rates (88% in both groups, P = 0.69) were strongly increased, but remained similar in SIRT2+/+ and SIRT2−/− mice (Figures 5C,D).
