We found correlations between IGFBP5 expression, the activation of the INSR/IGF1R receptors and the antiproliferative efficacy of an inhibitor of the IGF1R tyrosine kinase in bladder cancer derived cell lines suggesting that low expression of IGFBP5 could be used as a marker to predict anti-IGF1R or anti-IGF1R ligands therapies in bladder cancer. Here, IGFBP5 is linked to urinary bladder carcinoma.
