To establish the role of miR-486-5p in regulating NEK2 expression, we transfected HCC cells with miR-486-5p or mutant miR-486-5p mimics and luciferase tagged NEK2-3′ UTR and analyzed the effects after 48h by luciferase reporter assay. The gene discussed is NEK2; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
