Inspired by recent findings that prostate luminal cells can serve as the cell-of-origin for both primary and castration-resistant PCa [46] and that a rare castration-resistant luminal prostate cell population possesses multipotent stem cell activity [47], we utilized an ARR2PB promoter to drive the expression of a human NanogP8 cDNA tagged with 3X Flag (Figure 1A) to generate a transgenic mouse model in which NanogP8 was specifically expressed in prostatic luminal cells. This evidence concerns the gene NANOGP8 and posterior cortical atrophy.
