It is documented that aberrantly increased LRP6 expression is involved in the development of several human cancer types, including breast cancer and prostate cancer.25, 26 Engineered overexpression of LRP6 was found to promote either cell proliferation or invasion in multiple in vitro or in vivo models.27 LRP6 expression level was validated via immunostaining, as the above results show that LRP6 was overexpressed in OSCC tissues. This evidence concerns the gene LRP6 and prostate cancer.
