Kaplan-Meier analysis showed that the OS rates of NSCLC patients were lower in those with high expression of MNK2 (P < 0.001); clinical stage and histology type were taken into consideration during stratification, higher MNK2 expression correlated with lower OS (P = 0.024) in stage I + II stratum, and higher MNK2 expression correlated with lower OS (P < 0.01) in stage III + IV and adenocarcinoma stratum (Fig. 1c). This evidence concerns the gene MKNK2 and adenocarcinoma.
