To study the interaction of A. fumigatus and A. terreus conidia with dendritic cells we tested the suitability of the CD34+ human acute myeloid leukaemia cell line MUTZ-321 as an alternative to monocyte-derived human dendritic cells (moDCs) as MUTZ-3 cells have been shown to display the full range of functional antigen processing and presentation21. The gene discussed is CD34; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
