PTPN22 and infection: However, 15 days after infection, the VIGS plants began to show obvious leaf-yellowing phenotypes, and 20 or 25 days after V. dahliae invasion, the Lyp1-, and Lyk7-silenced plants displayed more severe wilting and yellowing symptoms and more etiolated leaves than the control plants, suggesting that the Lyp1-, and Lyk7-silenced plants had a higher susceptibility to V. dahliae (Fig. 5b).
