Transsphenoidal surgery was performed and quantitative-expression analyses of transcriptional factors of the tumor tissue, and immunohistochemistry analysis of tumor-derived primary culture cells and the tumor tissue revealed that the tumor consisted of multihormonal-pituitary adenoma cells concomitant with Pit-1 and Tpit lineage cells causing acromegaly associated with SCD. This evidence concerns the gene TBX19 and Schnyder corneal dystrophy.
