Mburu and colleagues employed immunohistochemical staining on a tissue microarray of 47 SCCHN patient tumors to determine if CCR7 upregulation impacted progression-free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS) [90], and found that it was indeed associated with significantly worse median PFS (p < 0.013) and OS (p < 0.026). This evidence concerns the gene CCR7 and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
