Women with NAFLD had a higher median body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, systolic/diastolic blood pressure, serum levels of C-reactive protein, glucose, hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL-cholesterol, alkaline phosphatase (ALP), γ- glutamyl transferase (GGT), and alanine aminotransferase (ALT), and had a higher frequency of hypertension than those without NAFLD.
