Interestingly, two of the four possible β1‐4‐acetylgalactosamine transferase genes (B4GALNT1‐4), B4GALNT3 and B4GALNT4, were found to be significantly elevated (P < 0.05) in the ovarian cancer tissues as compared to the peritoneum (Fig. 6B). This evidence concerns the gene B4GALNT3 and ovarian carcinoma.
