The relative expression of cyclin D1, CDK4 and c-Myc genes averaged for two cancer tissues indicated significant up regulation of all three cell cycle markers both at the transcript level (3.54, p = 0.0001; 2.85, p = 0.001; and 16.56 fold, p = 0.0001 respectively) and protein level (2.5, 1.66 and 1.8 fold respectively) (Fig. 1c and d). This evidence concerns the gene CCND1 and cancer.
